Careers within the website team at SMA are very varied and offer a variety of challenges from our customers briefs and expectations.

If you have a good understanding of web development and have the skills & creativity to overcome these challenges then this web developer role will be perfect for you.

The job (in a nut shell) is to create, implement and revise customer websites based on their exact specifications and briefs to offer a truly creative and fully working website that exceeds their requirements.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of:

  • HTML5\CSS3, Javascript, JQuery,  SQL.
  • A good understanding of browser compatibility issues.
  • Design, develop test and support web application projects.
  • Manage deadlines and work loads to deliver projects on-time.
  • Develop web solutions using the major platforms including WordPress, Joomla & Concrete5
  • Design & implement front-end designs using HTML, SASS, JavaScript and Asp.Net, to deliver responsive webpages that meet their brief/specifications
  • Integrate Web APIs to support the front-end website functionality.

Due to continued, and rapid expansion, we are looking for Business Development Executives to join our team. The ideal candidate will need to be a driven individual with a keen, entrepreneurial attitude and a willingness to work hard to achieve outstanding results.

As a Business Development Executive, you will need to identify and approach potential customers to win new business as well as building working relationships to generate future sales. The role will involve both cold calling, following up with existing customers and on-going account management.

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

  • Outbound new business calls to potential customers.
  • Understanding customers’ businesses and potential requirements.
  • Meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Overcome objections.
  • Maintain and develop relationships over time.
  • Clear communications skills.
  • Ability to manage your own time effectively.
  • Self-motivated nature.
  • Proven track record from previous careers.

Desirable Skills (but not essential)

  • Administration experience, including preparation of proposal documents.
  • Excellent sales and negotiations skills.
  • Solid numeracy and literacy skills.

In the role you will be tasked with selling websites, marketing, accounting packages as well as branded clothing solutions into businesses throughout the West Midlands.
This is a field-based role covering the West Midlands region, where you’ll report to the Sales Director and will be responsible for the following:

  • Identifying & approaching potential businesses within your territory
  • Making appointments and submitting proposals for the solution.
  • Following the sales pipeline to a conclusion.
  • Achieving targets.

The ideal candidate:

We are looking for someone who’s got experience of sourcing, opening and closing new business opportunities.

  • Selling solutions and following up with the entire sales process.
  • Effectively managing a sales pipeline
  • Manage appointments.
  • Proven track record from previous careers

You will also need to be the following:

  • Proactive
  • Good people skills
  • Target driven
  • A proven new business sales person
  • Able to work independently

Please note: It’s essential that you have a full driving licence to be considered for this position.

  • DEPOT: West Midlands, Field Based.
  • SALARY: £20k – £25k + Commission
